Attended Misericordia University for his doctorate degree in physical therapy. Has worked in varying settings including inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilitates, and outpatient therapy. From a young age had a passion for exercise and helping others. He enjoys lifting weights, playing the organ, piano, and accordion. Additionally, in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his Fiance and German shepherd. Dr. Stevens is licensed to practice physical therapy in the states of both Pennsylvania and New York.
Dr. Charles has a passion for diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and has done extensive in-person training with mentor Jeannine Noble PT, RMSK from the WCUI School Of Medical Imaging. Also, in August 2022 he trained with a world-renowned leading expert in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound Dr. Jon Jacobson MD, RMSK at the Gulf Coast Ultrasound Institute in Florida. Additionally, Dr. Charles passed the RMSK exam in November 2022 earning the RMSK credential which is the highest certification of proficiency in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. As of March 2023, Dr. Charles became a faculty member at Gulf Coast Ultrasound Institute In Florida and assists in teaching on-site in St. Petersburg Florida at courses.
Dr. Stevens also holds Titleist level 1 and 2 certifications to rehab golfers as well as a certification from the American Institute of Balance to treat individuals suffering from Vertigo and Vestibular issues.
Additionally, Dr. Charles has completed over 1000 EMG and nerve
conduction studies and has graduated from one of two residency programs in the
country that train Doctors of Physical Therapy. He currently performs EMG and
nerve conduction studies in New York and Pennsylvania in physician offices that
include the following specialties: neurosurgery, vascular surgery, physiatry,
and internal medicine. As of fall 2026 Dr. Charles will be teaching an elective
at his alma mater, Misericordia University, on introduction to EMG and nerve
conduction studies.
